And she's off!

My journey to Senegal began in the middle of the night. My best friend drove me and after getting breakfast at a place that was open all night, she dropped me off with two huge bags full of teaching supplies and donations for my host school. They weighed just under fifty pounds each! I flew to New York where I met up with the other twenty teachers in Team Senegal and from there we flew to Dakar. As we loaded up our bus with everyone's luggage and made the hour journey to our hotel, I couldn't help but notice the nurseries and plant shops on the side of the roads, children playing football ( our soccer) and even some horses being ridden on the road next to us!
