Fulbright Teachers: Cultural Competency

Updated: Mar 23

As I reflect on the journey I've taken so far, and the journey to come- this last six months has been full self-reflection, learning, and application. Going into this program, I thought I was culturally competent and while, in some areas I was, I realized I had a lot to learn and room for growth. This opportunity has given me tools to measure cultural competency and a plethora of resources. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to the fruits of my sharing- in my students, my colleagues, and district. This is much more than a trip to another country, it's been a journey of mindset, personal growth and realizing how interconnected we all really are.
